The next game will deviate slightly from Verzuz’s usual hip-hop style. It took to the stage on April 4 (Easter Sunday) for the former Isley Brothers vs Earth Wind Fire Verzuz Battle.
Isley Brothers vs Earth Wind Fire Verzuz Battle
“It’s time to announce The Isley Brothers vs Earth, Wind & Fire April 4th” the group shared their Instagram account next to Verzuz’s announcement, pointing to their 1959 debut album Shout!
“We’re just getting started,” said Verzuz’s official social media accounts that included the upcoming list with The Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire at the top. “We have gone a long way and we can no longer wait to disclose the rest.”
But they have unveiled the next second battle: April 20 will be a special “How Important” return to Verzuz’s hip-hop roots. Artists? Rappers Redman and Method Man.
“420 !!!” Redman simply exclaimed when he redefined Verzuz’s Twitter feed.
Verzuz has also mocked the next six shows, albeit only three with days to date. They are a warless title on May 8, “Special Mother’s Day” on May 9, and “Rematch” on Memorial weekend. There is also the upcoming “Ladies Night” and two others with no themes and dates right now.
Beatz and Timbaland have been busy since late. Also to compiling the program, the two manufacturers recently announced that Triller Network has bought the Verzuz.
“I don’t think there is another company in the world that would allow us to bring in 43 artists-friends who will take part in owning a company worth more than a billion dollars,” Beatz told Billboard at the time. “They came in very strong and had a lot of ownership in the company. That was a sign to us that we were limited – and very disruptive.”
He added Timbaland: “Sounds good just to give back to our artistic community.”
